Scoliosis for GPs & Allied Health Professionals

** Due to Covid-19 precautions this will now be hosted as a Zoom Meeting**

As part of Bodyworks Subiaco and Perth Scoliosis Clinic Community Outreach Program for 2020, Lisa Zorzi, a highly recognised physiotherapist in the world of scoliosis, is running a fabulous workshop on Scoliosis Screening and Assessment for General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Exercise Physiologists, Osteopaths and other allied health professionals.

The workshop will be held on March 25, 2020 in Subiaco and will cover:

  • understanding the patho-mechanism of scoliosis
  • how and what to do with patient X-rays
  • how to do a more thorough scoliosis assessment and action plan for your patients beyond that

As always the workshop will be based on the current evidence based guidelines.

Lisa has travelled the world extensively to learn about the Schroth and SEAS (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis) methods. In 2016 she completed her World Masters in Scoliosis Conservative Management for Physicians. She has travelled to New York twice, Wisconsin four times and Milan to learn from the world’s best. You are welcome to bring your own patient questions for question time as well, and she will do her best to support your treatment of the patient.

The aim of this workshop is to empower GPs and allied health professionals to make better decisions when it comes to scoliosis assessment and treatment options. Lisa realised years ago that training in this area in Australia was limited. Her goal is to spread the learning so that more health professionals know the international guidelines for scoliosis to better help patients.

This workshop will involve practical examples and updating of skills to make sure any patient with scoliosis is not missed and the right action is taken.

Date: Wednesday 25th of March 2020, 6-8pm at Perth Scoliosis Clinic, -This will now be run as a Zoom Meeting
